Kathleen + Thomas had a dreamy winter wedding this past December at the beautiful Agave Road in Katy, TX. Even with the chilly weather, the setting was warm, cozy and intimate. Kathleen chose an elegant and organic style combination with a color palette of cream, grey + black with metallic accents. The combination was simple and elegant, yet warm and inviting – a perfect combination for a winter wedding, and a gathering of friends and family. An outdoor ceremony was a must since the venue exhibits such a warm and organic feeling, and the grounds were beautiful even in though it was in cold December. Guests were kept warm by the cozy fireplace and we strategically arranged the seating in a semicircle to best utilize the warmth of the fire. Kathleen was the epitome of a snow princess bride in her white fur stole, it looked beautiful & kept her warm!
For the reception, we wanted to combine the outdoors with the comforts of the inside – to achieve that atmosphere we incorporated warm colors, simple yet striking floral and tall potted plants. Tamara Menges helped us establish the organic and elegant setting with elevated white flowers – garden roses, peonies, combined with green succulents for the more “down to earth” feel. For extra warmth and sparkle, we used mercury glass votives and grey velvet to wrap the bouquets for subtle holiday swag. It was the perfect winter wonderland without being over the top!
