Saira and Faizaan were married April 5, 2013 at
Chateau Cocomar. It was a gorgeous day, rich in tradition and culture from beginning to end. Saira first came to Two Be Wed with a vision of an understated and elegant wedding- nothing too fussy or remotely close to what she referred to as “bling, bling”. Saira’s personal style is sophisticated with an edge, her taste is current, but not trendy or over done. We wanted to translate that into the wedding design as well as stay true to the French-inspired venue, thus creating our theme “I Love Paris in the Springtime”.
To compliment the brides understated style, the floral was a combination of cool neutrals with warm pops of color. Perfect for a springtime wedding!

Chateau Cocomar provided all the inspiration one needs to design as it is truly a gem to Houston and a fairytale venue to celebrate the miracle of marriage. The estate is surrounded by lush, sculpted Versailles-worthy gardens, lavish fountains, courtyards, and verandas. The interior is equally stunning with long cathedral-esque hallways, million dollar fireplace mantles, and marble from ceiling to the floor. We were most inspired by the French tapestries hanging in the foyer near the salon.The antique needlepoint tapestries established our color palette: a cool toned patina/mint green, shades of persimmon and coral, with touches of blush and pearl.
Chateau Cocomar is a bride’s fairytale venue inspired by French gardens and Chateaus. A little piece of Europe in Texas.
Faaizan was a true prince charming, looking dapper in his traditional gold and ivory attire.
Their love for one another was truly contagious!

Many of their guests traveled from around the world to attend their special day, and we wanted to create an atmosphere that celebrated French design and culture, and transported them to a European getaway. One of our favorite design elements was the rosette ties on the gold chiavari chairs from
Aztec Events and Tents, a fresh and unfettered approach to the boring chair tie. The garden lattice backdrop, designed and built by
Tamara Menges Designs, was the focal point of the ballroom and commonly referred to as “the stage” in Pakistani and Indian weddings. The sculpted french-garden theme was woven into the floral design using topiaries and lots of delicate greenery.
A little bit of color goes a long way. Coral rosette chair ties and blush uplighting warmed the reception up.
Continuing with the French theme, Saira used antique keys to anchor each escort card as a nod to the Lover’s Bridge in Paris.
Guests left their well wishes on vintage postcards, incorporating the theme and the couples love for travel.
Saira is stunning with or without make-up, but she looked ever so lovely in her watermelon wedding gown designed by Bunto Kazmi in Pakistan. She wore not one but three gorgeous dresses over the course of her wedding weekend.
Misha Lakhani designed her Mehndi gown and she wore Maryam Masjid for her ceremony gown. However elaborate Saira’s dresses were, they did not overpower her as she wore them with grace and ease. Saira wasn’t the only one dressed to the nines, Faizaan, a true prince charming looked dapper in his ivory and gold traditional attire. With his hair swooped to the side and his million-dollar smile he made the perfect date.
Tamara Menges designed and built the floral backdrop to set the couples stage. She brought the French garden inside using toparies, lattice and greenery galore.
Beautiful details in both of their wedding attire. Truly a work of art!
It might as well have been Paris Fashion Week- Saira and Faizaan’s friends and family members dressed for the ball in exotic and cutting edge designs from the most desirable fashion designers in Pakistan with waiting lists a mile long. The couple’s invitations were also made in Pakistan and their custom favors bags were inscribed in Arabic.
A Dhol drummer welcomed guests to the cocktail hour with lively cultural beats. A sure way to get the party started!
It’s not a French wedding without macarons! Macaron by Patisse created custom macarons to match the design and colors of the wedding.

The fashion of the evening was noteworthy. The bride and guests wore the most sought after designers in Pakistan.
The dance floor was filled with exotic designs and choreographed dances all night.
The fashion, the food, and the festivities all held up to their expectations. Guests were escorted from the cocktail hour to the reception by a Dhol drummer, and there was an array of perfectly tinted macarons from Macaron by Patisse in the wedding color palette. The macarons were accompanied by an elaborate wedding cake by Janeth Sanchez of Cake Creations displayed in the foyer salon perfectly lit with cotton candy toned lighting provided by IndoRaja Entertainment. As the evening continued, the dance floor became a stage for the bridal party to perform choreographed dances for the bride, groom, and guests. Jason Thayil of IndoRaja Entertainment kept the energy high and everyone was elated by the newlywed’s happiness and love and it is totally evident by the images taken by Morgan Lynn Photography. We love her and her hubby, Amir.
