As we wrap up the year and reflect on 2013, I can’t help but thank God for his many blessings in our lives! Our Two Be Wed family is growing exponentially in talent, creativity, friendship, love, and little ones. It seems like yesterday we were introducing our newest family member, Casey Temple, to our team. Shortly after, the sweetest of sweetest, Lauren Simkins and her longtime beau, Austin Bench, married in Puerto Rico. As if the excitement wasn’t already off the charts, Aspen Rogers got engaged to Nick Phillips with a gorgeous canary diamond!
Phew- but, that’s not all…Ashley Joseph and her husband Nick welcomed their baby girl to the world this year. She must have brought on baby fever because Agnes Tominey and Joanna Dunton are both expecting and due in the Spring! Agnes and Alan are having a strapping Scottish boy and Joanna and Jason are anticipating a baby girl.
Danyett, Yvette, and I have been equally busy raising our families and planning events. It would take more than a few paragraphs to recap our year! Combined, our nine children ranging from 1-18 years are healthy, happy, and filling our lives with lots of humor.
We all gathered together with our significant others to celebrate each other and our growing business. Give the task of planning a dinner party to nine wedding planners and you get way more than you expected! Did someone say Pixel Slow Motion video booth?! Ummm, YES! And, we have the final edit to show you!! Eddie and his team were so gracious to set up shop for our party and let us go slo-mo crazy!
A very special thanks to our friend Christa Elyce of Christa Elyce Photography for capturing this unforgettable evening!

We tried to steer away from traditional holiday colors, trading out red for amethyst.

“Frosted” was not our original intent but once we decided on the ice chivari chairs, everything fell into place. Frosted candles & napkin rings, chairs and chargers – perfect for a winter theme or event!
Little did we know my prediction that “amethyst is the new red” actually came true with the recent Pantone 2014 color of the year press release. Our friends at Aztec Events and Tents provided the rentals including the “Radiant Orchid” napkins and table runner. Aztec’s Ashley Wesley convinced me to use the ice chiavari chairs and she nailed it! They, along with the napkin ring detail, the candlesticks, and the beautiful floral arrangements designed by our very own Joanna Dunton, made for a unforgettable Christmas dinner.

Silver crushed velvet linens and amethyst napkins & runners framed our beautiful table. Little did we know we predicted two trends for 2014 – velvet is back and the Pantone Color of the year, “Radiant Orchid”.

Our very own, Joanna was responsible for the floral arrangements. We let her choose the blooms and she went above & beyond!

Fan-fared napkins, bling napkin rings and silver rimmed chargers – just a few details that made our table scape complete. All rentals from Aztec Events and Tents.

The red hanging amaranthus was the perfect pop of color against the lavender and purple blooms.

The gorgeous, Casey and her yummy peppermint bark!

Amazing what a little ribbon and hand-lettering can do to an ordinary wine bottle. Thank you Rachel of Art by Rachel Neiman for the outstanding calligraphy work!

Lauren prepping the tree for an evening of holiday cheer!

We are so excited to introduce another girl to the TBW family. Congrats to the Duntons!

Mr. Bench (Lauren’s hubby!!) playing bartender.

Coordinating wrapping paper to match our dinner decor. The ladies outdid themselves!

Our business wouldn’t be what it is today without the help of my husband and my rock, Scott. Love you honey!

Hand-lettered favor boxes by Rachel Neiman. All of the details made for an unforgettable dinner!

Putting the final fixes on the bar before the dinner begins!

Rachel Neiman of Art by Rachel Neiman’s flawless hand-lettering transformed our bar for the evening.

All of our planners in action – Ashley lighting candles and checking the final details.
I had the privilege of assigning seats with silver boxes calligraphed by our dear friend Rachel Nieman who also calligraphed the ribbon for our wine bottles. We took a moment before rushing to the potluck buffet to bow our heads and pray. My husband Scott Dawley had the honor of thanking Jesus for our sweet small business and each one of our clients, consultants, vendors, friends, and family members that have supported Two Be Wed throughout the year.

Hand-lettered favor boxes filled with treats for our fabulous team and their spouses!

What an amazing year this has been! Surprising the ladies with a little something to remind them how much they mean to me and our firm.

Every lady needs pampering!

Our secret Santa gift exchange was entertaining to say the least! The girls had to write a riddle to coordinate with their gift – love the creativity!

Casey, our macaron enthusiast received the perfect gift! Good job Agnes!
On behalf of all the Ladies at Two Be Wed, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We look forward to 2014 and all that God has in store for each and everyone of us. His plans are for a good and prosperous future! Jeremiah 29:11

Our 2013 team! So grateful for these ladies and their dedication to Two Be Wed’s success. Excited to see what is in store for us in 2014!
